3 Member of Innovation Hub Junior team Qualify for World Robotic Olympiad National Level competition in Robo Mission Junior Category

ITANAGAR, Sep 4:

In a remarkable display of talent and innovation, three participants from Arunachal Pradesh have qualified for the national level competition of the World Robotic Olympiad (WRO) in the junior category under the Robo Mission.

The event was conducted in Kolkata, where young minds showcased their skills in robotics and technology. The qualified participants are all girls from Itanagar based institutions namely

Tagru Loli, (a class XI student of JP Public School),

Tinyo Sarah (VIII, JNK Public School) and

Takhe Mumpi (VIII, Holy Cross Hr Sec School).

The talented threesome is members of the Innovation Hub at the AP Science Centre which operates under the Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology, GoAP. The impressive performance of three girls not only brought accolades to the State but also highlighted the importance of science, technology, innovation and emerging fields like robotics.

The Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology has been instrumental in nurturing young talent through its Innovation Hub producing several teams that have previously represented India at international events.

With this recent achievement, Arunachal Pradesh will have two teams – Junior & Senior – competing in the upcoming national level WRO, which will be held in New Delhi.

“This accomplishment is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and the support from Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre,” said C D Mungyak, Director cum Member Secretary, APSCS&T. “We are proud of their achievements, and confident they will represent our State with excellence at the national level,” he added.

WRO serves as a platform for students to engage with robotics, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills essential for future innovators. The participation of Arunachal students in this prestigious event further emphasizes the State’s commitment to promoting science & technology.
