DST, GoI, successfully conducted a one day state level webinar on the occasion of month long celebration of National Science Day 2024 on the theme \”Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat\” today at Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre, Itanagar.
Welcome address was delivered by Director Cum Member Secretary, Shri C. D. Mungyak. Prof. Sanjeev Kumar, Dept. of Physics, RGU, AP, delivered a talk on the topic: C.V. Raman – Shedding Light on Science: A Tribute to Discovery\”. Dr. Nitin Maurya, Scientist – E & Head, Dissemination and Social Diffusion, Dept. of NIF delivered a talk on the topic: \”Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat\”. Padma Shree Awardee – Ms. Yanung Jamoh Lego, Tribal Herbal Medicinal Expert, Pasighat, AP, delivered a talk on the topic: \”Indigenous Knowledge System on Herbal Medicine\”. Gandhain Young Technological Innovation Awardee – Shri Liagi Baht, Ziro, AP, delivered a talk on the topic: \” Bamboo Splitting Machine\”. Vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Yumbi B. Yongam, S.O., APSCS&T.
A total of 70 schools from different districts of the state took participation. The webinar was also hosted live for the students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Vivek Vihar, Itanagar among other activities who were on educational tour to Science Centre, Itanagar.
