Industrial Intership Training Commenced at Innovation Hub, AP Science Centre

An Industrial Internship Training Programme for the students of Computer Science Engineering, Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic College, Itanagar, commenced today at the Innovation Hub, Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre, under the aegis of the Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology (APSCS&T).

The internship is a part of the student\’s Summer Training Programme aimed at bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry requirements through hands-on learning and real-time exposure.

The inaugural session was graced by Shri C.D. Mungyak, Director-cum-Member Secretary, APSCS&T , who welcomed the students and encouraged them to make the most of this opportunity. He emphasized the importance of active participation and attentiveness, as the programme is designed to sharpen their technical skills and innovative thinking, preparing them for real world challenges in the field of computer science.

A short briefing on the Innovation Hub and National Innovation Foundation (NIF) was delivered by Dr. Vivek Kumar, Curator, AP Science Centre, highlighting how the platform nurtures grassroots innovation and technological creativity.

This was followed by a detailed orientation by the mentors, innovation hub, where the students were introduced to the core topics that will be covered during the internship ranging from coding, project-based learning, embedded systems, EV3 robotics, web designing, 3D printing, IoT applications, software-hardware integration etc. The students also got a first hand look at some of the in-house innovations and tech prototypes developed by Innovation Hub members, sparking curiosity and inspiration for their upcoming projects.

A total of 13 students have registered for the programme. This initiative also marks a step forward in Institute-Industry collaboration, fostering practical exposure and skill development among budding engineers.

While today’s session served as an introduction and orientation, the hands-on training will commence from tomorrow. The internship will continue till 11th July 2025, providing students with a month-long immersive experience in a professional innovation driven environment.
