The Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology (APSCST) hosted a warm Welcome and Felicitation Ceremony today in honour of the newly appointed Hon’ble Chairman, Er. Tage Taki. Officials and staff of the Department of Science & Technology, Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre, and the Centre of Excellence for Bioresources and Sustainable Development (CoE-BRSD), Kimin were also present during the ceremony, reflecting the collective spirit and commitment of the entire department.
The event began with a heartfelt welcome address by Shri C. D. Mungyak, Director-cum-Member Secretary, APSCST, who expressed his delight on behalf of the scientific fraternity. He extended his sincere congratulations to the Hon’ble Chairman and assured him of the council\’s collective support in carrying forward the vision of scientific and technological advancement in Arunachal Pradesh.
Shri C. D. Mungyak also presented an overview of the council\’s key activities, achievements, and ongoing projects under the Science & Technology sector. He provided insights into the council’s strategic focus areas, grassroots outreach, and contributions to capacity building, innovation, and research in the state.
This was followed by a formal introduction of officers and officials from the APSCST, Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre, and the Centre of Excellence for Bioresources and Sustainable Development (CoE-BRSD) Kimin, highlighting the collaborative ecosystem within the council.
The Hon’ble Chairman, Er. Tage Taki, in his address to the gathering, expressed deep appreciation for the warm welcome. He emphasized the need for collective effort and teamwork, transcending designations or positions, to foster a progressive scientific environment. Under his leadership, he urged all stakeholders to focus on bringing impactful projects that contribute to the holistic development of society, especially in areas aligned with local needs and sustainable development.
The event concluded with a gracious Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Debajit Mahanta, Joint Director APSCS&T, Project Director – CoE-BRSD, who acknowledged the presence and participation of all dignitaries and staff and reiterated the council’s commitment to excellence under the guidance of the Hon’ble Chairman.
